Cancer is the leading cause of death in world. Curcumin main ingredient turmeric (Curcuma longa L.), and widely used food industry. It shows anticancer properties on different types cancers, underlying mechanisms action include inhibiting cell proliferation, suppressing invasion migration, promoting apoptosis, inducing autophagy, decreasing cancer stemness, increasing reactive oxygen species production, reducing inflammation, triggering ferroptosis, regulating gut microbiota, adjuvant therapy. In addition, curcumin demonstrated clinical trials. Moreover, poor water solubility low bioavailability can be improved by a variety nanotechnologies, which will promote its effects. Furthermore, although some adverse effects, such as diarrhea nausea, it generally safe tolerable. This paper an updated review prevention management cancers with special attention to action.

Cancer is a life-threatening disease and one of the leading causes death worldwide. Despite significant advancements in therapeutic options, most available anti-cancer agents have limited efficacy. In this context, natural compounds with diverse chemical structures been investigated for their multimodal properties. Curcumin polyphenol isolated from rhizomes Curcuma longa has widely studied its anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, effects. acts on regulation different aspects cancer development, including initiation, metastasis, angiogenesis, progression. The phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase (PI3K)/protein kinase B (AKT) pathway key target therapy, since it implicated proliferation, cell survival. found to inhibit PI3K/Akt tumor cells, primarily via mediators, growth factors, protein kinases, cytokines. This review presents potential curcumin malignancies, such as glioblastoma, prostate breast cancer, head neck cancers, through targeting signaling pathway.

Aging and age-related disease are among the most common challenging issues worldwide. During aging process, accumulation of oxidative stress, DNA damage, telomere dysfunction, other related changes lead to cellular dysfunction development diseases such as neurodegenerative cardiovascular conditions. Curcumin is a widely-used dietary supplement against various cancer, diabetes, aging. This agent mediates its effects through several mechanisms, including reduction reactive oxygen species (ROS) stress-induced well modulation subcellular signaling pathways AMPK, AKT/mTOR, NF-κB. These involved in senescence inflammation, their can improve cell function help prevent disease. In induce apoptosis variety different tumor lines. also activates redox reactions within cells inducing ROS production that leads upregulation receptors on membrane. upregulate expression activity p53 inhibits proliferation increases apoptosis. Furthermore, curcumin has potent inhibitory effect nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) , which overexpression antiapoptosis genes Bcl-2 . It attenuate regulation phosphoinositide 3-kinases ( PI3K ) increase mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs) endogenous ROS. Therefore, herein, we aim summarize how affect epigenetic processes (such stress) order change aging-related mechanisms. discuss roles diseases, Alzheimer, Parkinson, osteoporosis, diseases.

Recent evidence suggests that autophagy is a governed catabolic framework enabling the recycling of nutrients from injured organelles and other cellular constituents via lysosomal breakdown. This mechanism has been associated with development various pathologic conditions, including cancer neurological disorders; however, recently updated studies have indicated plays dual role in cancer, acting as cytoprotective or cytotoxic mechanism. Numerous preclinical clinical investigations shown inhibiting enhances an anticancer medicine’s effectiveness malignancies. Autophagy antagonists, chloroquine hydroxychloroquine, previously authorized trials, encouraging medication-combination therapies targeting autophagic processes for cancer. In this review, we provide update on recent research examining efficacy combining drugs activate inhibitors. Additionally, highlight difficulties progress toward using treatment strategy. Importantly, must enable use suitable inhibitors coadministration delivery systems conjunction agents. Therefore, review briefly summarizes general molecular process behind its bifunctional important suppression tumor growth resistance to chemotherapy metastasis regulation. We then emphasize how cells interacting one another promising therapeutic target treatment.

Abstract Colorectal cancer (CRC) development and progression, one of the most common cancers globally, is supported by specific mechanisms to escape cell death despite chemotherapy, including cellular autophagy. Autophagy an evolutionarily highly conserved degradation pathway involved in a variety processes, such as maintenance homeostasis clearance foreign bodies, its imbalance associated with many diseases. However, role autophagy CRC progression remains controversial, it has dual function, affecting either or survival, senescence tumor therapy. Indeed, numerous data have been presented that serves alternative apoptosis when latter ineffective apoptosis‐resistant cells, which why also referred programmed type II. Curcumin, active constituents Curcuma longa , great potential combat influencing various signaling pathways epigenetic regulation safe cost‐effective approach. This review discusses efficacy curcumin against vitro vivo, particularly modulation pathways. While clinical studies assessed prevention treatment, none specifically examined Nonetheless, we offer overview correlations support use this polyphenol prophylactic co‐therapeutic agent CRC.

Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer. Because curcumin (CUR) has anti-inflammatory and anticancer properties, research been undertaken to indicate that nanocurcumin compounds can be used treat a variety of cancers. CUR in nanoform found have stronger effect than conventional CUR. The purpose this study was show CUR-loaded poly lactic-co-glycolic acid nanoparticles (PLGA) (CUR-loaded PLGA) effects on colon carcinogenesis male dimethyl hydrazine (DMH) mice as comparative between normal curcumin, focusing nanocurcumin. Mice were separated into six groups: No treatment given Group I (negative Group-I). II treated with III PLGA. IV DMH. V received DMH curcumin. VI At conclusion trial, animals slain (6 weeks). Inflammatory indicators vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) levels all changed significantly study, following inflammatory markers TNF showed percent change compared group. Recovery percentage for Groups VI, respectively, 9.18 55.31%. In addition, IL1 7.45 50.37% respectively. results IL6 4.86 25.79% recovery 16.98 45.12% Following mucosa shape, researchers looked at PLGA histology. It shown affects cell cycle PCNA expression. We conclude an important cancer-fighting agent.
