Background: Dissemination initiatives have the potential to increase consumer knowledge of and engagement with evidence-based treatments (e.g., cognitive behavioral therapy; CBT). Opinion leaders (OLs) been used in public health campaigns, but not examined for dissemination mental treatments. This study uses Theory Planned Behavior test strategy involving an OL educational presentation caregiver demand CBT youth anxiety. Methods: Participants (N=262; 92% Female; 69% White, 82% non-Hispanic) were caregivers who registered a virtual on anxiety treatment through their child’s school. Schools within 1.5-hour drive Philadelphia, PA cluster-randomized (k=25; two-arm prospective randomization) condition (presented by clinical researcher local OL; n = 119 participants) or researcher-only (n 143 participants). Presentations occurred from May 2021-2022. Measures completed pre- post-presentation, at three-month follow-up. Results: Relative co-presenter, participants rated as significantly more relatable, familiar, similar, understanding community, less credible than co-presenter. In both conditions, there was significant pre-post participants’ of, attitudes about, subjective norms related to, intention seeking anxiety, stigma. Presentation conditions did differ change these measures, rates follow-up.Conclusions: Although involvement EBT outreach associated increases seek Involving OLs delivered efforts may be necessary all audiences, beneficial engendering sense relatability, similarity, connection disseminators.

Implementation science is the study of methods to promote systematic uptake effective practices into routine care settings with broad goal ensuring that scientific discoveries realize their potential and improve people's lives. As a field, implementation includes three primary foci: (a) understanding context in which individuals will implement have strong, established evidence base; (b) developing approaches target factors may accelerate or hinder implementation; (c) conducting pragmatic trials test these approaches. Abstract Background Dissemination is a critical element of the knowledge translation pathway, and necessary step to ensure research evidence adopted implemented by key end users in order improve health outcomes. However, evidence-based guidance inform dissemination activities limited. This scoping review aimed identify describe scientific literature examining strategies disseminate public related prevention non-communicable diseases. Methods Medline, PsycInfo EBSCO Search Ultimate were searched May 2021 for studies published between January 2000 search date that reported on evidence, within context Studies synthesised according four components Brownson colleagues’ Model Research (source, message, channel audience), as well study design. Results Of 107 included studies, only 14% (n = 15) directly tested using experimental designs. The remainder primarily preferences different populations, or outcomes such awareness, intentions adopt following dissemination. Evidence diet, physical activity and/or obesity was most disseminated topic. Researchers source over half findings/knowledge summaries more frequently message compared guidelines an program/intervention. Policy is a powerful tool for systematically altering healthcare access and quality, but the research to policy gap impedes translating evidence-based practices into public limits widespread improvements in service population health outcomes. The US opioid epidemic disproportionately impacts Medicaid members who rely on publicly funded benefits treatment including medications use disorder (MOUD). A myriad of misaligned policies evidence-use behaviors by policymakers across federal agencies, state managed care organizations limit coverage MOUD members. Dissemination strategies that improve policymakers' current evidence are critical improving reducing disparities. However, no describes key determinants or preferences, few studies have examined data-driven approaches developing dissemination enhance evidence-informed policymaking. This study aims identify intermediaries influence behaviors, then develop test tailored promote benefit arrays.

Abstract Interest in learning dissemination and implementation (D&I) science is at an all-time high. As founding faculty fellows of a new center focused on D&I science, we have found that non-specialist researchers newcomers to often express confusion around the difference between D I. Relatedly, they struggle identify what their specific projects target impact public health within amorphous “black box” singular, loosely defined “research-to-practice gap.” To improve conceptual clarity enhance engagement with developed graphic—the Bridge—and accompanying glossary terms use as teaching framing tool. The Bridge depicts bridging know from knowledge do practice intention equity, it spans over four distinct, inter-related gaps: supply gap, demand methodological/scientific expertise capacity gap. gap addressed by strategies, whereas strategies. producing generalizable about D&I, developing multi-disciplinary workforce needed advance D&I. Initial feedback has been positive, this conceptualization helped inform our center’s training, project consultations, strategic planning.
