Papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) is the predominant form of cancer with a rising global incidence. Despite favorable prognoses, significant recurrence rate persists. Dioscorea bulbifera L. (DBL), traditional Chinese medicine, has been historically used for thyroid-related disorders. However, its therapeutic effects and mechanisms action on PTC remain unclear. To explore potential effects, principal active components, molecular DBL in treatment through network pharmacology docking, experimental validation conducted to corroborate these findings. The Traditional Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database (TCMSP) was utilized as systematic tool collecting screening phytochemical components DBL, establishing associations between targets. Based this, data visually processed using Cytoscape software (version 3.8.0). Concurrently, precise docking studies their corresponding targets were Autodock software. Additionally, PTC-related genes selected GeneCards GEO databases. We further employed DAVID bioinformatics resources conduct comprehensive Gene Ontology (GO) Kyoto Encyclopedia Genes Genomes (KEGG) enrichment analyses intersecting PTC. These aid predicting actions action. validate findings, vitro also conducted. In this investigation, 14 bioactive compounds 195 identified, 127 common shared Molecular revealed strong binding affinities major target proteins. GO analysis unveiled key processes involved DBL's KEGG highlighted modulation PI3K/AKT signaling pathway. Experimental outcomes demonstrated inhibiting cell proliferation migration, suppressing pathway activation, promoting ferroptosis. conclusion, offers multifaceted approach PTC, targeting multiple entities influencing diverse biological pathways. Network shed light utility treatment, substantiated by validation. This study contributes valuable insights into promising agent management.

Angelica sinensis (AS) is a widely used medicinal and culinary herb frequently considered critical in traditional prescriptions. Modern pharmacological studies have validated its beneficial effects, including nourishing, blood activation, anti-inflammatory analgesic properties, liver kidney protection, tumor inhibition. Due to the lack of existing reviews on AS treating digestive system tumors (DS-T), this study investigated effects primary active components combating DS-T from three main perspectives. First, we summarized mechanisms for various by analyzing vitro vivo experimental studies. Second, analyzed radiotherapy drugs determined potential ingredients reduce toxicity enhance efficacy. Additionally, can be integrated into both regular medicated diets, thereby effectively preventing development facilitating post-surgery recovery. In conclusion, exhibits as an anti-DS-T drug, providing theoretical foundation daily dietary clinical use offering insights future scientific research innovation.

The investigation of biomarkers for metabolic diseases such as type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH) reveals their potential advancing disease treatment addressing notable overlap. connection between MASH, obesity, T2DM highlights the need an integrative management approach mechanisms like insulin resistance chronic inflammation. Obesity contributes significantly to development MASH through lipid dysregulation, resistance, Selective biomarker targeting offers a valuable strategy detecting these comorbidities. Biomarkers CRP, IL-6, TNF-α serve indicators inflammation, while HOMA-IR, fasting insulin, HbA1c are essential evaluating resistance. Additionally, triglycerides, LDL, HDL crucial comprehending dysregulation. Despite growing importance digital biomarkers, challenges in research methodologies sample variability persist, necessitating further studies validate diagnostic tools improve health interventions. Future opportunities include developing non-invasive panels, using multiomics, machine learning enhance prognoses accuracy therapeutic outcomes.
