Abstract
This
White
Paper
presents
the
results
from
a
workshop
cosponsored
by
Sleep
Research
Society
(SRS)
and
for
on
Biological
Rhythms
(SRBR)
whose
goals
were
to
bring
together
sleep
clinicians
circadian
rhythm
researchers
identify
existing
gaps
in
diagnosis
treatment
areas
of
high-priority
research
sleep–wake
disorders
(CRSWD).
CRSWD
are
distinct
class
caused
alterations
time-keeping
system,
its
entrainment
mechanisms,
or
misalignment
endogenous
external
environment.
In
these
disorders,
timing
primary
episode
is
either
earlier
later
than
desired,
irregular
day-to-day,

Munich
ChronoType
Questionnaire
(MCTQ)
has
now
been
available
for
more
than
15
years
and
its
original
publication
cited

times

Scholar,

Science”
was
held
at
the
2018
SLEEP
Meeting
of
Associated
Professional
Societies.
workshop
brought
together
experts
consumer
sleep
technologies

devices,
circadian
physiology,
clinical
translational
research,
practice.

“wearable”
for
use

relevant
metrics

to
measure;

Abstract
Shift
work,
defined
as
work
occurring
outside
typical
daytime
working
hours,
is
associated
with
an
increased
risk
of
various
non‐communicable
diseases,
including
diabetes
and
cardiovascular
disease.
