Traditional incineration and landfill of food processing waste (FPW) have polluted the environment underutilized valuable bioactive compounds, including polyphenols in waste. As one most widely occurring compounds FPW, possess high utilization value many fields such as human health, energy, environmental protection. Extracting directly from FPW can maximize avoid resources. However, traditional polyphenol extraction methods mostly use Soxhlet extraction, infiltration, impregnation method, consuming a large amount organic solvent suffering long time low efficiency. Emerging green supercritical fluid ultrasonic-assisted microwave-assisted other shorten improve efficacy, resulting safe recovery FPW. In this paper, treatment application are briefly reviewed, emerging compared to obtain insight into start-of-the-art approaches.

The resistance of cancer cells to chemotherapeutic drugs greatly reduces the therapeutic effect in patients, and toxic side effects caused by chemotherapy also seriously affect quality life patients. combination epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), main active ingredient tea, with cisplatin, 5-FU, doxorubicin paclitaxel enhances their sensitizing on tumors combats drug cells. These seem be mediated a variety mechanisms, including combating stem cells, enhancing sensitivity, inducing cell cycle arrest apoptosis, blocking angiogenesis. In addition, EGCG can suppress series adverse chemotherapy, such as gastrointestinal disorders, nephrotoxicity cardiotoxicity, through its anti-inflammatory antioxidant improve However, low bioavailability off-target reactivity some agents limit clinical application. nanomodification not only antitumor activity but prolongs survival time tumor-bearing mice, has advantage toxicity. Therefore, this review aims discuss current status challenges regarding use treatment cancer. general, is promising adjuvant for chemotherapy.

Breast cancer is a leadingcause of cancer-related deaths in women globally, with triple-negative breast (TNBC) being an aggressive subtype that lacks targeted therapies and associated poor prognosis. Polyphenols, naturally occurring compounds plants, have been investigated as potential therapeutic strategy for TNBC. This review provides overview the anticancer effects polyphenols TNBC their mechanisms action. Several polyphenols, including resveratrol, quercetin, kaempferol, genistein, epigallocatechin-3-gallate, apigenin, fisetin, hesperetin luteolin, shown to inhibit cell proliferation, induce cycle arrest, promote apoptosis, suppress migration/invasion preclinical models. The molecular underlying involve modulation several signalling pathways, such PI3K/Akt, MAPK, STATT, NF-κB pathways. Polyphenols also exhibit synergistic chemotherapy drugs, making them promising candidates combination therapy. highlights clinical trials investigating use individually or therapy, against cancer. deepens under-standing mechanism action respective valuable insights into TNBC, lays groundwork future research this area.
