Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic has a major impact on global scale. Understanding the innate and lifestyle-related factors influencing rate severity of is important for making evidence-based recommendations. This cross-sectional study aimed at establishing potential relationship between human characteristics vulnerability/resistance to SARS-CoV-2. We hypothesize that virus not same due cultural ethnic differences. A was performed using an online questionnaire. methodology included development multi-language survey, expert evaluation data analysis. Data collected 13-item pre-tested questionnaire based literature review. statistically analyzed logistic regression. For total 1125 respondents, 332 (29.5%) were positive, among them 130 (11.5%) required home-based treatment, 14 (1.2%) intensive care. significant age, physical activity health status all found have influence infection (p < 0.05). associated with preventive measures tobacco suggests importance behavioral compared ones. Apparently, individual behavior mainly responsible spread virus. Adopting healthy lifestyle scrupulously observing including vaccination would greatly limit probability prevent severe COVID-19.

Abstract Behavior-disease models suggest that pandemics can be contained cost-effectively if individuals take preventive actions when disease prevalence rises among their close contacts. However, assessing local awareness behavior in real-world datasets remains a challenge. Through the analysis of mutation patterns clinical genetic sequence data, we propose an efficient approach to quantify impact by identifying superspreading events and assigning containment scores them. We validate proposed score as proxy for simulation experiments, find it was correlated positively with policy stringency during COVID-19 pandemic. Finally, observe temporary drop Omicron wave United Kingdom, matching survey experiment carried out Hungary corresponding period Our findings bring important insight into field modeling through large-scale one most promising data sources epidemics research.

Background Health literacy (HL) is a protective factor for some chronic diseases. However, its role in the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has not been clarified. This study aims to explore association between HL and COVID-19 knowledge among residents Ningbo. Methods A total of 6,336 aged 15–69 years Ningbo were selected by multi-stage stratified random sampling method. The “Health Literacy Questionnaire Chinese Citizens (2020)” was used evaluate relationship HL. Chi-square test, Mann-Whitney U test logistic regression analyze data. Results levels 24.8% 15.7%, respectively. After adjusting confounding factors, people with adequate more likely have compared those limited ( OR = 3.473, 95% CI 2.974–4.057, P <0.001). Compared group, group had higher rate knowledge, positive attitude, active behavior. Conclusion significantly associated Improving may influence people's about COVID-19, thereby changing behaviors, finally combating pandemic.

Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde, istatistiklerin yanı sıra independent samples t-test, one-way ANOVA testi Spearman korelasyon analizi kullanıldı. İstatistiksel anlamlılık p<0,05 kabul edildi. Bulgular: Öğrenciler KFÖ, SOY ölçeğinden ortalamanın üstünde; C19PS’den altında puan aldı. ölçeğinden; kadınlar, 21-23 yaş, dördüncü sınıf öğrencileri, babası ortaokul-lise mezunu olanlar, genel sağlık, ruh sağlığı durumunu iyi algılayanlar, ekonomik ifade edenler, geçirenler, ilgili gelişmeleri takip edenler daha yüksek C19P-S toplam puanından tüm alt boyutlarında erkekler kadınlardan KFÖ boyutlarından somatik, boyutu puanı arasında negatif yönde, düşük düzeyde; hijyen tedbiri hariç diğer boyutları arasında, pozitif düzeyde anlamlı bulundu. Sonuçlar: Bulgular, okuryazarlığına odaklanmanın, bilincini artırmanın psikolojik destek hizmetleri sağlamanın önemli olduğunu vurgulamaktadır.
