Plant-derived nanovesicles (PDNVs) have recently emerged as natural delivery systems of biofunctional compounds toward mammalian cells. Considering their already described composition, anti-inflammatory properties, stability, and low toxicity, PDNVs offer a promising path for developing new preventive strategies several inflammatory diseases, among which the bowel disease (IBD). In this study, we explore protective effects industrially produced lemon vesicles (iLNVs) in rat model IBD. Characterization iLNVs reveals presence small particles less than 200 nm size profile bioactive enriched flavonoids organic acids with known beneficial properties. vitro studies on human macrophages confirm safety iLNVs, evidenced by reduced expression pro-inflammatory cytokines increased levels markers. Obesity-induced colonic inflammation-stimulated colitis is one of the main causes colorectal cancer. Dietary polysaccharides are considered an effective agent for relieving obesity-induced inflammatory diseases such as diabetes and colitis. In this work, protective effects a polysaccharide (RTFP) extracted from Rosa roxburghii Tratt fruit on barrier dysfunction inflammation were investigated using model mice. RTFP treatment repaired intestinal by increasing expression tight junction proteins (ZO-1, claudin-1, occludin) reducing levels cytokines, permeability, oxidative stress in mice fed high-fat diet.
