This systematic review addresses the use of Lactiplantibacillus (Lactobacillus) plantarum in symptomatological intervention neurodegenerative disease. The existence gut microbiota dysbiosis has been associated with systemic inflammatory processes present disease, creating opportunity for new treatment strategies. involves modifying strains that constitute to enhance synaptic function through gut–brain axis. Recent studies have evaluated beneficial effects on motor and cognitive symptomatology, alone or combination. includes 20 research articles (n = 3 human n 17 animal models). main result this was combination produced improvements symptomatology related However, one included reported negative after administration plantarum. provides current relevant information about probiotic pathologies such as Alzheimer’s Parkinson’s disease Multiple Sclerosis.

This systematic review aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the current literature regarding gut microbiota composition in patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD) and Alzheimer’s (AD) compared healthy controls. To identify relevant studies, thorough search PubMed, Medline, Embase was conducted following PRISMA guidelines. Out 5627 articles, 73 studies were assessed for full-text eligibility, which led inclusion 42 (26 PD 16 AD studies). The risk bias assessment showed medium 32 (20 12 studies), low 9 (5 4 1 study high risk. Among 22 out 26 reported different between cases controls, 15 differences consistently identified phyla Bacteroidetes, Firmicutes, Proteobacteria as prevalent both groups case groups. Microbial dysbiosis specifically characterized by abundance Akkermansia, Verrucomicrobiaceae, Lachnospiraceae, Ruminococcaceae Blautia, Coprococcus, Prevotellaceae, Roseburia Similarly, Bacteroides Acidobacteriota abundant cases, Acidaminococcaceae, Ruminiclostridium microbial signature association several taxa, including Bifidobacterium, Ruminococcacea, Verrucomicrobia Ruminococcaceae, Bacteroides, Actinobacteria AD. diversity evaluations indicated comparable alpha some distinct others, consistent beta controls across multiple studies. bacterial signatures this that are associated may offer promising prospects efficient management treatment approaches.

Many potential immune therapeutic targets are similarly affected in adult-onset neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's (AD) disease, Parkinson's disease (PD), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and frontotemporal dementia (FTD), well a seemingly distinct Niemann-Pick type C with primarily juvenile onset. This strongly argues for an overlap pathogenic mechanisms. The commonly researched include various cell subsets, microglia, peripheral macrophages, regulatory T cells (Tregs); the complement system; other soluble factors. Abstract The establishment of a healthy microbiota, particularly during infancy, profoundly influences psychological health and neurological function through the gut‐brain axis. This review delves into intricate connections between probiotics, gut microbiome development, their impact on disorders. Biotics, live microorganisms with proven benefits, have emerged as promising intervention, critical developmental stages. Administering specific probiotic strains ( Lactobacillus species Bifidobacterium ) in infancy has shown promise preventing alleviating disorders, implications for well‐being. bidirectional communication along axis underscores potential probiotics influencing outcomes, ranging from anxiety to neurodevelopmental Additionally, this explores emerging food engineering techniques (microencapsulation, genome editing, fermentation, protein engineering, immobilization, etc.) employed preparing probiotic‐based foods, ensuring viability targeted release gastrointestinal tract.

Numerous studies have evidenced that neuropsychiatric disorders (mental illness and emotional disturbances) with aggression (or violence) pose a significant challenge to public health contribute substantial economic burden worldwide. Especially, social disorganization inequality) associated childhood adversity has long-lasting effects on mental health, increasing the risk of developing disorders. Intestinal bacteria, functionally as an endocrine organ second brain, release various immunomodulators bioactive compounds directly or indirectly regulating host’s physiological behavioral homeostasis. Under challenges, stress-induced dysbiosis increases gut permeability causes serial reactions: releasing neurotoxic compounds, leading neuroinflammation neuronal injury, eventually aggressive, violent, impulsive behavior in humans animals via complex bidirectional communication microbiota–gut–brain (MGB) axis. The dysregulation MGB axis also been recognized one reasons for prevalence injurious behaviors (feather pecking, aggression, cannibalistic pecking) chickens. However, existing knowledge preventing treating these both chickens is not well understood. In previous studies, we developed non-mammal model abnormal investigation by rationalizing microbiota Based our earlier success, perspective article outlines possibility reducing through modifying cecal transplantation, potential providing biotherapeutic rationale among individuals restoring diversity function.
