Supercritical CO2 extraction (SCCO2) of cannabis oil from Indian (Cannabis indica) leaves was optimized through a central composite design using pressure (150–250 bar), temperature (30–50 °C) and time (1–2 h). From the regression model, optimal pressure, were 250 bar, 43 °C 1.7 h, respectively resulting in experimental yield 4.9 wt% via SCCO2 extraction. The extract contained cannabidiol, tetrahydrocannabivarin, Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol Δ8-tetrahydrocannabinol as well two terpenoids such cis-caryophyllene α-humulene. Besides oil, raffinate biomass utilized to polyphenols water medium. Cannabis extractive investigated for their half-maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) values, which found be 1.3 0.6 mg/mL, respectively. This is comparable commercially available antioxidant butylated hydroxytoluene with an IC50 value 0.5 mg/mL. work on cannabinoids other valuable bioactive compounds provides environmentally sustainable technique valorize leaves.

Abstract In this study, supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) was used to extract cannabis essential oil and cannabinoids from the same matrix by changing decarboxylation conditions CO 2 density. Cannabis extracted at 90 bar 50°C (0.288 g/cm 3 density), it mainly composed of α‐pinene, eucalyptol, β‐caryophyllene, selinene. Subsequently, carried out on vegetable matter operating 105°C for 15 min and, then, 120°C 1 h. The largest cannabidiol (2.96% w/w) yield obtained when SFE performed 100 40°C (0.623 density). An effective online fractional separation compounds also SFE, since no cuticular waxes were detected in GC–MS traces products interest. Operating way, expensive, time‐consuming, polluting post‐processing steps not required, producing a ready‐to‐use market.

This study discovered the impact of high-tunnel (i.e., unheated greenhouse) and open-field production on two industrial hemp cultivars (SB1 CJ2) over their yield parameters, cannabinoid development, volatile profiles. Development neutral cannabinoids (CBD, THC, CBC), acidic (CBDA, THCA, CBCA), total during floral maturation were investigated. The profiles flowers holistically compared via HS-SPME-GC/MS. Findings indicated a high tunnel as an efficient practice for achieving greater weight, stem number, caliper, especially in SB1 cultivar. Harvesting high-tunnel-grown early flower could obtain CBD while complying with THC regulations. Considering profiles, mainly consisted mono- sesquiterpenoids, well oxygenated sesquiterpenoids. Volatile analysis revealed substantial profile to systems.

As a versatile and multipurpose plant, hemp (Cannabis sativa L.) possesses immense potential for its application in nutraceuticals, food nutrition, fibre, construction material. However, broader industrial potentials are hindered by the lack of sufficient knowledge on varietal differences, phytochemical properties, fibre processing techniques, bioenergy valorisation whole clinical evidence, standardised quality control mechanisms. In this context, we systematically reviewed 101 reviews 655 research papers to map what already know still need about hemp, across supply chain; from cultivar selection through production end use. We literature based major themes sub-themes. Existing spanned 33 sub-themes which can be classified under five broad themes: production, material, health, futures, education. The 'material' theme (42%) was most researched, followed 'production' (27%) 'health' (19%). At sub-theme level, one-fifth articles covered composite material (n = 139), analysis potency testing 45), hempcrete applications 43), germination plantation techniques 41). More than half selected were published last three years (2020–2022), concentrated mainly North America, Europe, China. Cannabidiol, seed oil considered as quick wins industry (hemp champions).
