Abstract Background Curcumin is herbal compound that has been shown to have anti-cancer effects in pre-clinical and clinical studies. The of curcumin include inhibiting the carcinogenesis, angiogenesis, tumour growth. This study aims determine Clinical different types cancers using systematic review approach. Methods A methodology adopted for undertaking detailed analysis cancer therapy. results presented this paper an outcome extracting findings studies selected from articles published international databases including SID, MagIran, IranMedex, IranDoc, Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, Scopus, PubMed Web Science (ISI). These were thoroughly searched, relevant publications based on plausible keywords, accordance with aims, as follows: prevalence, curcumin, features, cancer. Results are derived several consumption chemotherapy drugs, highlighting increases effectiveness radiotherapy which improving patient’s survival time, increasing expression anti-metastatic proteins along reducing their side effects. Conclusion comprehensive confirms reduces or radiotherapy, resulting patients’ quality life. number reported that, increased patient time decreased tumor markers’ level.

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is considered as a main challenge in both developing and developed countries, lifestyle has changed its management seems to be vital. Type I type II diabetes are the kinds they result hyperglycemia patients related complications. The gene expression alteration can lead development of DM AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) an energy sensor with aberrant various diseases including cancer, cardiovascular DM. present review focuses on understanding AMPK role Inducing signaling promotes glucose that importance for ameliorating hyperglycemia. Further investigation reveals enhancing insulin sensitivity treatment diabetic patients. Furthermore, upregulation inhibits stress cell death β cells preventing development. clinical studies have shown improving complications such brain disorders. improve neuropathy, nephropathy, liver reproductive alterations occurring during For exerting protective impacts, interacts other molecular pathways PGC-1α, PI3K/Akt, NOX4 NF-κB among others. Therefore, providing therapeutics based targeting beneficial amelioration

An important motivation for the use of nanomaterials and nanoarchitectures in cancer therapy emanates from widespread emergence drug resistance. Although doxorubicin (DOX) induces cell cycle arrest DNA damage by suppressing topoisomerase activity, resistance to DOX has severely restricted its anti-cancer potential. Hyaluronic acid (HA) been extensively utilized synthesizing nanoparticles as it interacts with CD44 expressed on surface cells. Cancer cells can take up HA-modified through receptor-mediated endocytosis. Various types nanostructures such carbon nanomaterials, lipid polymeric nanocarriers have modified HA enhance delivery acid-based advanced materials provide a platform co-delivery genes drugs along efficacy overcome chemoresistance. In present review, potential methods application are discussed.

P-glycoprotein (P-gp) is a drug efflux transporter that triggers doxorubicin (DOX) resistance. In this review, we highlight the molecular avenues regulating P-gp, such as Nrf2, HIF-1α, miRNAs, and long noncoding (lnc)RNAs, to reveal their participation in DOX These antitumor compounds genetic tools synergistically reduce P-gp expression. Furthermore, ATP depletion impairs activity enhance of DOX. Nanoarchitectures, including liposomes, micelles, polymeric nanoparticles (NPs), solid lipid nanocarriers, have been developed for co-delivery with anticancer genes enhancing cytotoxicity. Surface modification instance hyaluronic acid (HA), can promote selectivity toward cancer cells. We discuss these aspects focus on expression activity.

The site-specific delivery of antitumor agents is importance for providing effective cancer suppression. Poor bioavailability anticancer compounds and the presence biological barriers prevent their accumulation in tumor sites. These obstacles can be overcome using liposomal nanostructures. challenges chemotherapy stimuli-responsive nanocarriers are first described current review. Then, liposomes including pH-, redox-, enzyme-, light-, thermo- magneto-sensitive nanoparticles discussed potential drugs emphasized. pH- or redox-sensitive based on internal stimulus release drug response to a mildly acidic pH GSH, respectively. pH-sensitive mediate endosomal escape via proton sponge. multifunctional responsive both redox have more capacity at site compared alone. magnetic field NIR irradiation exploited external stimulation liposomes. light-responsive when they exposed irradiation; thermosensitive-liposomes temperature >40 °C there hyperthermia; magneto-responsive field. smart nanoliposomes also co-delivery genes synergistic therapy. Due lack long-term toxicity liposomes, utilized near future treatment patients.

Cancer is one of the top life-threatening dangers to human survival, accounting for over 10 million deaths per year. Bioactive glasses have developed dramatically since their discovery 50 years ago, with applications that include therapeutics as well diagnostics. A new system within bioactive glass family, mesoporous (MBGs), has evolved into a multifunctional platform, thanks MBGs easy-to-functionalize nature and tailorable textural properties-surface area, pore size, volume. Although yet meet potential in tumor treatment imaging practice, recently research shed light on distinguished capabilities promising theranostic systems cancer therapy. This review presents progress field MBG diagnosis therapy, including synthesis MBGs, mechanistic overview application drug monitoring, therapy ( particularly, targeted delivery stimuli-responsive nanoplatforms), immunological profile MBG-based nanodevices reference development novel therapeutics.
