Human mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are primary multipotent capable of differentiating into osteocytes, chondrocytes, and adipocytes when stimulated under appropriate conditions. The role MSCs in tissue homeostasis, aging-related diseases, cellular therapy is clinically suggested. As aging a universal problem that has large socioeconomic effects, an improved understanding the concepts can direct public policies reduce its adverse impacts on healthcare system humanity. Several studies have been carried out over several years to understand phenomenon different factors affecting human aging. A reduced ability adult cell populations reproduce regenerate one main contributors process. In this context, senescence major challenge front advancement. Many factors, ranging from genetic metabolic pathways extrinsic through various signaling pathways, involved regulating mechanism MSC senescence. To better reverse senescence, review highlights underlying mechanisms signs discusses strategies combat

Oxidative stress has been proposed as a key contributor to lifestyle- and age-related diseases. Because free radicals play an important role in various processes such immune responses cellular signaling, the body possesses arsenal of different enzymatic non-enzymatic antioxidant defense mechanisms. is, among others, result imbalance between production reactive oxygen species (ROS) mechanisms including vitamin E (α-tocopherol) antioxidant. Dietary vitamins, C E, can also be taken supplements. It postulated that increasing levels through supplementation may delay and/or ameliorate outcomes diseases have linked oxidative stress. Although supported by many animal experiments observational studies, randomized clinical trials humans failed demonstrate any benefit from supplementation. Nevertheless, possible explanations for this discrepancy remain underreported. This review aims provide overview recent developments novel research techniques used clarify existing controversy on benefits health disease, focusing α-tocopherol Based currently available literature, we propose examining difference activity capacity, considering catabolism antioxidants, will crucial knowledge preventative therapeutical use stress-related

Although dysregulated cholesterol metabolism predisposes aging tissues to inflammation and a plethora of diseases, the underlying molecular mechanism remains poorly defined. Here, we show that metabolic genotoxic stresses, convergently acting through liver X nuclear receptor, upregulate CD38 promote lysosomal efflux, leading nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD

The pathogenesis of age-related macular degeneration (AMD), a degenerative retinopathy, remains unclear. Administration anti-vascular endothelial growth factor agents, antioxidants, fundus lasers, photodynamic therapy, and transpupillary warming has proven effective in alleviating symptoms; however, these interventions cannot prevent or reverse AMD. Increasing evidence suggests that AMD risk is linked to changes the composition, abundance, diversity gut microbiota (GM). Activation multiple signaling pathways by GM metabolites, including lipopolysaccharides, oxysterols, short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs), bile (BAs), influences retinal physiology. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), known for its multi-component multi-target advantages, can help treat altering composition regulating levels certain substances, such as reducing increasing SCFA BA contents. This review explores correlation between two provide new perspectives on treating with TCM.

The proportion of the elderly population is gradually increasing as a result medical care advances, leading to subsequent surge in geriatric diseases that significantly impact quality life and pose substantial healthcare burden. Sarcopenia, characterized by age-related decline skeletal muscle mass quality, affects considerable portion older adults, particularly elderly, can adverse outcomes such frailty, fractures, bedridden, hospitalization, even mortality. Skeletal aging accompanied underlying metabolic changes. Therefore, elucidating these profiles specific mechanisms holds promise for informing prevention treatment strategies sarcopenia. Aging is usually considered a key risk factor associated with multiple diseases, such as neurodegenerative cardiovascular diseases and cancer. Furthermore, the burden of age-related has become global challenge. It great significance to search for drugs extend lifespan healthspan. Cannabidiol (CBD), natural nontoxic phytocannabinoid, been regarded potential candidate drug antiaging. An increasing number studies have suggested that CBD could benefit healthy longevity. Herein, we summarized effect on aging analyzed possible mechanism. All these conclusions may provide perspective further study aging.
