The TGF-β/Smad signaling pathway the most canonical through formation of collagen in fibroblasts myofibroblasts regulated. Sustained activation results long-term overactivation myofibroblasts, necessary for excessive aberrant scars. There are two categories therapeutic strategies that aim to target interfere their cellular functions reduce cell proliferation. first strategy medications, second composed genetic therapeutics. Polyphenols are natural compounds and the most plentiful with synergistic properties contributing to potential health benefits. This review describes interactions of polyphenolic compounds; as yet, no literature has been undertaken consider experimental evidence effects polyphenols. The claimed have activities highly effective against oxidation, peptic ulcers, myocardial infarction, tumors, a variety other conditions. In addition, anticancer activity via apoptosis antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, estrogenic behaviors also reported. Apart from polyphenols, this illustrates their specific benefits too bioavailability in humans. toxicity some agents, including antinutritional effects, chronic nephrotoxicity, reduction net protein utilization antiluteinizing hormone, tumor development, is evaluated. Synergistic treatment approaches may be many diseases. These findings provide information about polyphenol combination, which could useful for future studies.

Neurodegenerative diseases are a heterogeneous group of disorders that characterized by the gradual loss neurons. The development effective neuroprotective agents to prevent and control neurodegenerative is specifically important. Recently, there has been an increasing interest in selecting flavonoid compounds as potential agents, owing their high effectiveness with low side effects. Baicalin one important compounds, which mainly isolated from root Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi (an Chinese medicinal herb). In recent years, number studies have shown baicalin potent effect various vitro vivo models neuronal injury. particular, effectively prevents through pharmacological mechanisms, including antioxidative stress, anti-excitotoxicity, anti-apoptotic, anti-inflammatory, stimulating neurogenesis, promoting expression protective factors, etc. This review focuses on cognitive enhancement effects baicalin. aim present compile all information relation its molecular mechanisms action experimental models.

Matrine is an alkaloid isolated from the traditional Chinese medicine Sophora flavescens Aiton. At present, a large number of studies have proved that matrine has anticancer effect can inhibit cancer cell proliferation, arrest cycle, induce apoptosis, and metastasis. It also reversing drug resistance reducing toxicity drugs. In addition, reported therapeutic on Alzheimer's syndrome, encephalomyelitis, asthma, myocardial ischemia, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, like, its mechanism mainly related to inhibition inflammatory response apoptosis. Its treatable disease spectrum spans multiple systems such as nervous system, circulatory immune system. The antidisease are diverse, so it high research value. This review summarizes recent pharmacological matrine, with view providing reference for subsequent research.

Oxidative stress reflects an imbalance between the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and antioxidant defense systems, it can be associated with pathogenesis progression neurodegenerative diseases such as multiple sclerosis, stroke, Parkinson's disease (PD). The application antioxidants, which defend against oxidative stress, is able to detoxify intermediates prevent neurodegeneration resulting from excessive ROS production. There are many reports showing that numerous flavonoids, a large group natural phenolic compounds, act antioxidants flavonoids has beneficial effects in adult brain. For instance, well known long-term consumption green tea-derived catechin epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) attenuate onset PD. Also, ampelopsin pinocembrin inhibit mitochondrial dysfunction neuronal death through regulation gene expression nuclear factor erythroid 2-related 2 (Nrf2) pathway. Additionally, established exhibit anti-apoptosis anti-inflammatory cellular signaling pathways, those involving (ERK), glycogen synthase kinase-3β (GSK-3β), (Akt), neuroprotection. Therefore, current study was designed investigate whether baicalein could protect against MPP+/MPTP-induced neurotoxicity via suppressing vitro and vivo. In vitro, our results showed increased cell viability MPP+-treated SH-SY5Y cells. Treatment with reversed MDA ROS levels, decreased GSH levels MPTP-treated mice, ameliorated MPTP-induced motor impairment suppressed accumulation iron lipid peroxides. Flavonoids natural phenolic compounds found abundantly in fruits vegetables. Upon ingestion, 90% flavonoids consumed require further enzymatic metabolism by gut microbiome to enhance their bioavailability absorption. Several epidemiological studies reported that consumption conversion microbes strongly associated reduced development. This review summarizes current knowledge human microbiome.
