The incidence of infertility currently affects about 15% the world's population. Male factors are estimated to be responsible for up 40–50% these cases. While cause reproductive disorders is still unclear, exposure a family ubiquitous compounds in our daily life, named endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) could involved. This paper was aimed at performing systematic review and meta-analysis population studies exploring whether human male EDCs fertility. Clinical observational assessing along with sperm quality, most common disorders, DNA damage, oxidative stress, fertilization rate, implantation clinical pregnancy live birth miscarriage rate were included. quality assessment tool from NHLBI-NIH used assure that met standardized criteria. Abstract Introduction Androgens play important roles in regulating the growth and development of male reproductive system maintaining libido erectile function. The specific mechanisms by which androgen deficiency leads to dysfunction (ED) are not yet fully understood. Objectives To understand treatment deficiency–related ED. Methods A literature search past 10 years was conducted PubMed Google Scholar determine effects on function deficiency. Results Androgen can be caused hypothalamic-pituitary lesions injuries, testicular-related diseases endocrine metabolic disorders, side medication, age. lead ED inhibiting NOS/NO/cGMP pathway (nitric oxide synthase/nitric oxide/cyclic guanosine monophosphate) altering expression ion channel proteins, as well inducing oxidative stress, death, fibrosis penile corpus cavernosum cells. Testosterone replacement therapy is effective at improving serum testosterone levels patients with For who need maintain a low androgenic state, improved lifestyle changes, phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors, low-intensity extracorporeal shock wave therapy, stem cell therapy. Conclusions affect structure cavernosum, leading Areas further study include how improve maintenance hypoandrogenic status.

Abstract Background Testosterone (T) is an anabolic hormone crucial to the structure and function of skeletal muscle. partially synthesized from cholesterol, but little known about relationship cholesterol intake serum with T levels. Aim To investigate whether total (TC) levels are associated testosterone (TT) in men. Methods A cross-sectional study enrolling 1996 men aged 20 80 years National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2013–2014 was carried out. Diet assessment performed using two 24-h food recalls, TT were measured by liquid chromatography coupled tandem mass spectrometry. Regression analyses evaluate TC Results Neither nor unadjusted adjusted (adjustment for energy, fat alcohol intake, smoking, age, physical activity, family income, marital status, race, educational level, diabetes, hypertension, body index). Testosterone deficiency (TD) is an urgent health issue that requires attention, associated with various adverse outcomes including cardiovascular diseases (CVD) and metabolic syndrome. Remnant cholesterol (RC) has emerged as a potential biomarker for risk, but its relationship testosterone levels TD not been thoroughly investigated. This study aims to explore the association between RC in adult American males using data from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES).

Approximately 16% of North American couples are affected by infertility, with 30% cases being attributable to male factor infertility. The regulation reproductive hormones via the hypothalamic–pituitary–gonadal axis is important for spermatogenesis and subsequently fertility. Maintaining iron homeostasis critical normal physiological function. This cross-sectional study’s objective was determine association between serum biomarkers hormones. Men experiencing infertility (n = 303) were recruited from Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto. Serum analyzed ferritin as status (follicle-stimulating hormone, luteinizing testosterone, estradiol, prolactin), which primary outcome. Associations determined using non-parametric Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient, linear regressions, logistic regressions. A significant independent monotonic inverse relationship prolactin (p 0.0002) found. In regression analyses, inversely associated hormone (unadjusted p 0.03, adjusted 0.03) 0.001 0.003). both gonadotropins, follicle-stimulating (adjusted 0.03), 0.02).
