The increasing ageing of our societies is accompanied by a pandemic obesity and related cardiometabolic disorders. Progressive dysfunction the white adipose tissue increasingly recognized as an important hallmark process, which in turn contributes to metabolic alterations, multi-organ damage systemic pro-inflammatory state ('inflammageing'). On other hand, obesity, paradigm dysfunction, shares numerous biological similarities with normal process such chronic inflammation multi-system alterations. Accordingly, understanding interplay between accelerated critical gain insight into general well pathophysiology conditions. Here we postulate concept 'adipaging' illustrate common links fact that, great extent, obese adults are prematurely aged individuals.

For patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), the leading cause of mortality is cardiovascular disease. One main novel risk factors oxidative stress, which occurs when there overproduction reactive oxygen species (ROS) and/or a reduction in antioxidant defense capacity. Oxidative stress involved progression renal injury, pathogenesis atherosclerosis, and exacerbation burden CKD patients. In addition, uremic- dialysis-associated these further contribute to via proinflammatory state, including exposure dialysate endotoxins or use bioincompatible hemodialysis dialyzer membranes. Consequences include amyloidosis, anemia. Strategies combat therapies such as vitamins C E N-acetylcysteine (NAC). While strategies are promising, few interventional studies have examined their effects until now. light disparate experimental clinical data, large, randomized, long-term required establish efficacy safety

Patients with diabetes type 2 have an increased risk for cardiovascular disease and commonly use combination therapy consisting of the anti-diabetic drug metformin a cholesterol-lowering statin. However, both drugs act on glucose lipid metabolism which could lead to adverse effects when used in as compared monotherapy. In this review, proposed molecular mechanisms action statin patients dyslipidemia are critically assessed, hypothesis underlying interactions between these is developed.

Diabetes is a chronic metabolic condition associated with high levels of blood glucose which leads to serious damage the heart, kidney, eyes, and nerves. Elevated brain function cognitive abilities. They also lead various neurological neuropsychiatric disorders, including neurodegeneration decline. High neuronal can cause drastic due neurotoxicity. Astrocytes, type glial cell, play vital role in maintaining through neuron–astrocyte coupling. Hyperglycemia progressive decline networks impairment, contributing dysfunction fostering neurodegenerative environment. In this review, we summarize connections, functions, impairments cells diabetic brain. We effects hyperglycemia on functions
