The emergence of bacterial resistance due to the evolution microbes under antibiotic selection pressure, and their ability form biofilm, has necessitated development alternative antimicrobial therapeutics. Physical stimulation, as a powerful method disrupt microbial structure, been widely used in food industrial sterilization. With advances nanotechnology, nanophysical strategies (NPAS) have provided unprecedented opportunities treat antibiotic-resistant infections, via combination nanomaterials physical stimulations. In this review, NPAS are categorized according modes which include mechanical, optical, magnetic, acoustic, electrical signals. biomedical applications combating infections systematically introduced, with focus on design mechanisms. Current challenges further perspectives clinical treatment also summarized discussed highlight potential use settings. authors hope that review will attract more researchers advance promising field NPAS, provide new insights for designing combat resistance.

In this paper, we report the synthesis of ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) by forced solvolysis Zn(CH3COO)2·2H2O in alcohols with a different number -OH groups. We study influence alcohol type (n-butanol, ethylene glycol and glycerin) on size, morphology, properties obtained NPs. The smallest polyhedral NPs (<30 nm) were n-butanol, while measured average 44 nm rounded. Polycrystalline particles 120 glycerin only after water refluxing. addition, here, photocatalytic activity, against dye mixture, three model pollutants: methyl orange (MO), methylene blue (MB), rhodamine B (RhB), closer to real situations where is polluted many chemicals. All samples exhibited good activity degradation efficiency reaching 99.99%. sample maintained high >90%, over five catalytic cycles. Antibacterial tests conducted Gram-negative strains Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Gram-positive Enterococcus faecalis, Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, cereus. presented strong inhibition planktonic growth for all tested strains, indicating that they can be used antibacterial applications, such as purification.

Abstract The rise in drug resistance pathogenic bacteria greatly endangers public health the post-antibiotic era, and drug-resistant currently pose a great challenge not only to community but also clinical procedures, including surgery, stent implantation, organ transplantation, other medical procedures involving any open wound compromised human immunity. Biofilm-associated failure, as well rapid last-resort antibiotics, necessitates search for novel treatments against bacterial infection. In recent years, flourishing development of nanotechnology has provided new insights exploiting promising alternative therapeutics bacteria. Metallic agents have been applied antibacterial usage several centuries, functional modification metal-based biomaterials using now attracted interest field, their intrinsic nature ready on-demand functionalization enhanced interaction with bacteria, rendering them good potential further translation. However, possible toxicity MNPs host cells tissue still hinders its application, current knowledge on cellular pathways is enough. This review will focus advances developing metallic nanoparticles (MNPs), silver, gold, copper, nanoparticles, applications, mechanisms hosts.
