The number of people with metabolic syndrome (MetS) is increasing worldwide, and many socioeconomic environmental factors contribute to this. authors investigated tangible trends in the prevalence MetS using 2001 2020 versions Korea National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES). In these surveys, stratified multistage sampling designs were used approximate entire population. Blood pressure, waist circumference, lifestyle variables examined a standardized fashion. Metabolic biomarkers measured central laboratory operated by Korean government. age-adjusted increased significantly from 27.1% 33.2% 2020. It was more prevalent men (25.8%→40.0%) but did not change women (28.2%→26.2%). Among 5 components, proportions high glucose level large circumference substantially 17.9% 12.2% over 20 years, while high-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels significantly, resulting decrease low 20.4%. Only few studies have investigated the role of probiotics in development obesity. We aimed to determine efficacy and safety an intake Lactobacillus plantarum K50 (LPK) on body fat lipid profiles people with This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, clinical trial involved 81 adults a mass index 25-30 kg/m2 who were assigned randomly diet including 4 × 109 colony-forming unit LPK or placebo. Changes fat, anthropometric parameters, biomarkers obesity compared using linear mixed-effect model. After 12 weeks treatment, weight, mass, abdominal area did not change significantly two groups. However, total cholesterol levels decreased from 209.4 ± 34.4 mg/dL 203.5 30.9 group, but increased 194.7 37.5 199.9 30.7 placebo group (P = 0.037). Similarly, triglyceride 135.4 115.8 114.5 65.9 significant difference between supplementation also tended decrease leptin It changed distribution gut microbiota significantly, increase L. Actinobacteria, both whose changes abundance correlated visceral adiposity, borderline significance. The brain, particularly the hypothalamus and brainstem, monitors integrates circulating metabolic signals, including gut hormones. Gut–brain communication is also mediated by vagus nerve, which transmits various gut-derived signals. Recent advances in our understanding of molecular gut–brain promote development next-generation anti-obesity medications that can safely achieve substantial lasting weight loss comparable to surgery. Herein, we comprehensively review current knowledge about central regulation energy homeostasis, hormones involved food intake, clinical data on how these have been applied drugs. Insight into axis may provide new therapeutic perspectives for treatment obesity diabetes.

We used dataset with 2,111 individuals categorized into seven groups based on their body mass index, ranging from average weight class III obesity. Our classification were trained tested using demographic information like age, gender, eating habits without including height variables. study demonstrated that when information, can classify index. random forest provided highest performance scores among all this research. Machine methods have potential be more extensively effective efforts combat
