The case study reported in this paper is part of a larger multiple cross case analysis focusing on pre-service teachers with various initial confidence and attitudes toward science and science teaching. In this paper, the focus will be on one elementary teacher candidate, Lisa, who began the science methods course with a negative attitude and low self-efficacy. An in-depth description of her beliefs, attitude, and self-efficacy, before and after the course, the impact of her prior science experience and the science methods course on shaping these domains, and the possible interrelationship between the three variables are discussed. The findings revealed …

Practicum modules are needed during the practical learning process activities that can be used by teachers and students. Science literacy must mastered students, because it is related to environment. assessed from three aspects namely content, context. The purpose of this study was determine feasibility test practicum based on science for in SMP Negeri 1 Langsa. This type research development which modified into stages implementation with module trial stage developed form information gathering, design phase documentary data collection techniques, questionnaires, experiments. scores obtained will processed using descriptive analysis conducting a material media experts consisting biology education lecturers while practicality uses questionnaire distributed students class VIII at Langsa Natural Sciences subjects. results showed IPA product analyzed consisted categories: percentage value highly valid 78% quality element, context aspects. 82.8% positive student response content very practical. Based values feasible practically as guide.

The use of active and flipped methodologies has increased in recent years. Here, gamification uses typical elements a game different contexts, including that education. Specifically, Escape Room games used as educational tools have potential for teaching–learning, they can be beneficial because improve students’ motivation emotions toward learning. This is particularly valuable science, technology, engineering mathematics (STEM) courses, where the cognitive factor multidimensional domain are closely connected. research presents an online-based Edu-Escape with science sustainability contents educative tool STEM course. With intervention proposed, we analyze how this influences (attitudes, self-efficacy emotions) pre-service teachers (PSTs). According to attitude analysis, it observed most items analyzed show increase more positive attitudes after intervention. In particular, Question 11 (Q11) indicates significant difference. Concerning results emotion, “joy”, “satisfaction” “fun” significantly However, negative “nervousness”, “frustration” “concern” also increase, partly due characteristics. proposed activity had medium effect on differences except emotion “frustration”, large according size (ES) analysis. principal component analysis (PCA), attitudes, PSTs positively correlated, influence shows improvement these variables. Finally, structural equation modeling partial least squares (SEM-PLS) showed effects instruction PSTs’ towards science. Therefore, there multiple benefits having implemented Room.

The flipped instruction methodology has increased in popularity recent years. A fruitful area for helps to increase the self-efficacy and attitudes of students as a learner their science course. This study investigates effects following classroom teaching on Pre-Service Teachers' (PSTs) contents science, well toward science. Various instruments were used assess influence aforementioned variables, results indicated that significant differences observed students' before after course completion. Additionally, followed class significantly positive scientific contents, and, therefore, PSTs more willing enjoy Thus, can contribute attaining self-efficacious with are vital accomplishing insights visions professional specialized developments PSTs.

During the last decade, there has been a strong emphasis on developing new instruction methodologies for effective teaching of different contents. Here, it is important to teach Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education, specially, in scientific mathematical concepts. In context active learning gamification, educational Escape Room - Breakout (ERB) could be useful strategy improve students' affective cognitive domain towards STEM (science mathematics). Thus, two didactic tools, based an ERB, have designed science mathematics This research compares influence ERBs (Science ERB ERB) Pre-Service Teachers' (PSTs) (emotions, attitudes, self-efficacy STEM) (performance). Non-parametric statistical tests were used, Mann-Whitney U test was applied measure significant differences between variables ERBs. Spearman correlation coefficient implemented correlations study variables. The results show that increase positive emotions both "joy", "fun", "nervousness" are significantly higher after Science emotion "fear" lower with respect ERB. attitudes analysis, 8 items questionnaire observed According performance PST grades increased each Finally, analysis indicates emotions, high self-efficacy, PSTs' performance. values these related theoretical content results, used several advantages domain.
