Colorectal cancer is a prevalent malignant tumor with complex and diverse pathogenesis. In recent years, natural products have shown promising application prospects as sources of anticancer drugs. BBR, class benzoquinoline alkaloids extracted from various plants, widely used in disease treatments owing to its pharmacological activities, including antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anticancer, anti-angiogenesis properties. Research has demonstrated that BBR exerts an anti-Salmonella -Escherichia coli infection effect, attenuating inflammatory reactions by inhibiting harmful bacteria. During the stage colorectal precancerous lesions, inhibits activity cell cyclin regulating PI3K/AKT, MAPK, Wnt signaling pathways, thereby decelerating cycle progression polyp or adenoma cells. Moreover, inhibitory effect on primarily occurs through regulation cycle, anti-angiogenesis, gut microbiota, antioxidant pathways. Oxidative stress and neuroinflammation are two major causes leading to early brain injury after subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). Nuclear factor E2-related 2 (Nrf2) is a critical transcription that contributes antioxidant responses. Additionally, Nrf2 could inhibit transforming growth beta-activated kinase 1 (TAK1), which plays vital role in microglial activation-mediated neuroinflammation. Neferine (NE) exhibits considerable protective effects diverse disease models. However, the detailed effect mechanism of NE on SAH remain unknown. Our data showed treatment significantly reduced behavior cognitive impairment, edema period SAH. In addition, mitigated SAH-induced oxidative damage, neuroinflammation, neural death.
